    What size should I order?
    We have a downloadable sizing chart, so you can see how the mask will fit on your face before ordering. Please refer to the sizing section here. Akmon masks are non-refundable once the packaging has been opened, so we highly recommend that you print out the PDF and trial the various sizes before completing your purchase.     How do I install new filters or the valve onto the mask?

    How often do I have to change filters?
    If using the mask daily, we recommend replacing the filters once every two weeks.
    Can I wash my Akmon?
    Yes. The Akmon is machine washable at 30 degrees (cool wash), but please ensure the filter and the valves have been removed beforehand.

    What does Akmon even mean?
    Derived from the Greek transliteration of Aether, ‘Akmon’ means the upper air - only breathed by the gods.
    Who are the masterminds behind Akmon?
    Clement and Paul are the 2 motorheads behind the creation of Akmon. Passionate about anything on 2 wheels, storytelling and all that surrounds urban life, they soon realised after arriving in Hong Kong that riding without protection would impact their health, and that pollution would become a growing problem.
    Why does everyone talk about PM2.5? How can it affect my health?
    Fine particulate matter (PM2.5) is an air pollutant. It refers to tiny particles or droplets in the air that are 2½ microns or less in diameter. These harmful pollutants are able to travel deeply into the respiratory tract, reaching the lungs. Excessive exposure to fine particles can cause short-term health problems such as lung problems, asthma, and more. Best to stay protected and wear your Akmon!
    Will wearing an Akmon mask really protect me?
    Our filters have been carefully manufactured and rigorously laboratory tested to bring you the highest quality air pollution protection mask. We invite you to try the Akmon mask and feel the difference!
    It is suitable for children?
    Akmon is suitable for children over the age of 12. Size S is recommended for children between the ages of 12-14 but we highly recommend that you read the instructions on how to wear the mask. Please ensure parental guidance is applied when children use the mask. Product safety is very important!
    Are there any cross-marketing opportunities with Akmon?

    Can I only use my Akmon in an urban environment?
    Akmon can be used anywhere you experience pollution, whether that be during your daily commute, when being active outdoors, or simply if you wish to protect yourself on a polluted day. Akmon has been designed carefully to look beautiful whilst keeping you protected from air pollution - no compromises on style!
    When wearing the mask, will my glasses steam up?
    The nose bridge has been specifically designed with the best ergonomical fit in mind, so you shouldn’t experience any fog affecting your visibility. Our founders Paul and Clement have worn the mask with glasses many times with no fogging.     What is the main difference between other brands ear loop and Akmon’s back strap?

    Akmon’s shape and strap have been designed to give a much better seal around the face, ensuring that air only enters through the filter, delivering better protection from pollution as a result.

    Payment & Ordering

    How do I make an order?
    Browse the products on the online store. When you have selected your mask style, size and quantity, click ‘Add to Cart'. You will see your selection has been added to the shopping cart. You can then proceed to the checkout. Your ordered will be finalised once you have completed your payment via Paypal.
    When will my order be processed?

    All orders are handled and shipped out from our headquarters in Hong Kong. Please allow extra time for your order to be processed during holidays and sale seasons.

    Orders placed after 14:00 Monday - Friday (GMT +8) using our express shipping method will be processed the next business day.

    Orders placed using our standard shipping will be processed within 3 business days. Orders placed with our express shipping will also be processed within 3 business days, delivery times will vary based on your location.

    If you do not receive a tracking confirmation after 5 business days from the day you completed your payment, please contact us at to follow up.

    How do I track my order?
    When your order is complete you will receive a shipping confirmation from our shipping partner. This will contain a tracking number which you can use to follow your order.
    Express Shipping / International Shipping?

    All items ship from Hong Kong, for express/international shipping, just input your address and we will provide you with the top 3 best quotes and shipping times available to your destination. Due to the signed-for nature of deliveries, we recommend that items be sent to a work or home address in order to avoid any delays in receiving your items.

    If you live in Hong Kong, we aim to send you your order within 3 business days.

    If you live outside of Hong Kong and choose express/international shipping, your order will be prioritized. You will be given 3 options of delivery dates and times when you input your delivery address.

    Do I need an account to place an order?
    You do not need to be a member of Akmon to create an order. This function is available only to those that wish to be automatically be sent replacement filters. You also do not need to have an account with Paypal to complete your payment. You can proceed to payment as a guest.
    What kind of payments do you accept?
    All payments go through Paypal, which accepts the of majority credit and debit cards. This is the safest way of processing your payment. If you do not have an account with Paypal, you can proceed as a guest.
    Will I have to pay tax and duties?

    The prices displayed on our website are tax-free in USD, that means you may be liable to pay for duties and taxes upon receipt of the item(s) if shipping outside of Hong Kong. Import taxes, duties and related customs fees may be charged once the parcel arrives at the final destination. These charges are determined by the customs office of the final destination. Payment of these charges and taxes are your responsibility and will not be covered by us here at Akmon. For further details of charges, please contact your local customs office.

    What currency will I be charged in?
    All orders placed will be charged in USD. We have provided a guideline of the equivalent in your local currency on the online store, but these are to be used as a guideline only, based on the location detected on your browser.

    Where is my order?

    What if my product is faulty?
    If your product is faulty, please inform us at and we will replace your product.
    I have taken out a membership, what if I want to cancel?
    We have a no hassle policy. You can cancel your membership at any time, if you require it.
    All Akmon products will be sent to you with Akmon signature packaging.

    Returns & Exchanges

    How do I return or exchange?
    If you wish to return your Akmon, please ensure the protective seal on the box is still intact. Please email for full details on how to conduct the return. Akmon regrets to inform you that refunds cannot be made if the protective seal on the box is broken.
    Will I receive a full refund?

    If you have the intention to return your Akmon mask, please ensure that the original packaging and seal on the Akmon box has not been broken. Owing to the nature of the product, for hygiene reasons Akmon is not liable to refund or exchange any mask that has been removed from its original packaging and protective seal. This is because the mask will not be re-sellable owing to the contamination threat incurred when the seal is broken. However, if the size or colour indicated on the label of the box is different from what you ordered – do not open box and Akmon will offer you the opportunity to exchange the mask for a suitable replacement. If after trying the mask, the product is faulty, Akmon will offer you the opportunity to exchange the mask for a suitable replacement.
